Kyokushin karate is a traditional Japanese style of karate developed by the late Sosai Masutatsu (‘Mas’) Oyama. It is highly effective and is considered the strongest karate style.
“Shin” translates to new. We are a new organisation training in the old traditional way.
Shinkyokushin Karate Manly Dojo is a member, as are its students, of the World Karate Organisation Shinkyokushin which is the largest full contact karate organisation in the world.
Karate has many benefits which include improving health and fitness as well as strengthening your mind and relieving stress.
At our Manly dojo we aim to conduct training in a friendly and supportive atmosphere and we welcome people of all ages and abilities.
Manly karate instructors Davy Loo (1st Dan black belt) and John Evans (2nd Dan black belt) and have over 40 years of karate experience and have both competed in tournaments nationally and abroad.
